The northwest market town of Sapa is colorful and charming, providing the perfect oasis in the midst of a strenuous mountain trek or rice-paddy tour. Here are some of sight-seeings in Sapa awarded Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor.(An certificate to accommodations, attractions and restaurants consistently earn great reviews from travelers) Muong Hoa Valley – Most fantastic rice field valley
This place is gorgeous. Perhaps coming in late August was perfect as the rice terraces were every shade of green! Whether you do a guided tour, walk on your own, or drive around on motorbike and just look from above - the valley has so much beauty...
Harvesting - the best time for observing the terraced fields
Ta Phin Village - “Worth the long walk”
Skip the car and take the walking tour to the village.
Most of tourists visting Sapa enjoyed the trek to Ta Phin Village very much. It's simply breathtaking and peaceful. The views of the rice terraces on the trek to the village were amazing. The Red Dao people are very wonderful and welcoming.
Don’t forget to try staying with the locals.
A tourist from Auckland, Newzeland said about his staying with the locals: “… Her house is simple and basic accommodation but perfectly comfortable and clean, and we felt like we were welcomed and treated very special. The evening dinner was a feast and we enjoyed meeting some Vietnamese friends who were staying and we felt privileged to see a part of traditional Red Dao tribe life. Ta Phin village itself is quite delightful and less touristy than some of the other villages around Sapa - its in a beautiful valley, and the way of life seems pretty unchanged even though tourism is important for them.
I'd highly recommend staying in a homestay rather than just looking at a village like Ta Phin - the people are amazing and so friendly and it really is something that you remember for many years.”
Fasipan Moutain - Best Place to hike in Vietnam
Fansipan – The roof of Indochina
You will have great time to climbed the Fansipan Mountain, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. Into the wild, being with nature, i have no word to say, but my feeling is free to tell you, that one thing you can do and say to yourself, that i am free. what do you need for your life? Freedom . There are many things around, mountain, trees, plants, animals, ... everything is making you to say: “I Love Nature!”
If you go to Sapa, winning over Fanxipan is one of the most excited activities. You do not need to be too strong to conquer it. As long as you have a passion, you get it. It would be better by travelling with a group because it makes your trip more funs and more shorter. Don’t be afraid of anything because the tour guides and porters there are very friendly and helpful.
A wonderful trip in your life
Love waterfall – Love walk in the nature
From far sight, the waterfall looks like a twinkling pyramid under the sun
It has a height of about 100m, and starts from the peak of Fansipan Mountain and rush noisily into the Gold Stream like a never-ending song. Under the waterfall, the Gold Stream runs along with green grass plots and bamboo clusters, forming a poetic image. This place is a pure beauty, the men works hasn't destroy the nature. Relaxing, charming and pleasant to spend time in this place
This waterfall kept a romantic love story
The story tells that long time ago, this waterfall was the bathing place of fairies from heaven. One day, a fairy was mesmerized by flute sound of a young boy near the fall, so she spent every night listening to his melodies. Not long time after, her parents came to know the secret, and forbade her from coming back to the fall. The passionate fairy transformed herself to a bird so that she could live with her love forever. From then on, the name Love is born.
