Vietnam Mekong Tour 11day
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Sa Dec – Can Tho
On arrival in Vietnam we commence our journey to the Mekong Delta, where we will take a boat trip to witness and photograph the peaceful and tranquil life of the villages up close. We will visit Sadec town where Margueritte Duras’s famous novel Lover was set and made famous by the film L’Amant, the Marguerite Duras story and explore this town. Visit a bonsai garden.and the local market. Here we will also get the opportunity to photograph the local people on the water. We then continue to Can Tho, where we will check into our hotel.
Day 2: Can Tho – Chau Doc – An Giang
We will arise early and walk down to Ninh Kieu Wharf to photograph the sunrise and the boats going about their business. Cruising along the small and picturesque tributaries by rowing boat, we will see the Cai Rang – Phong Dien floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives along the Mekong canals. Then continue going to Chau Doc via Long Xuyen. Check in on arrival. Visit the floating village & Cham village, visit caved pagoda. Depart to Tri Ton District to shoot Palmyra Palm Trees (sunset; sunrise) – the most popular trees in An Giang.

Day 3: Tra Su Forest, Tapa Hill – Ha Tien

Leave to visit Tra Su Forest and Tapa Hill.
Tra Su Forest – This ecological spot is the habitat of many genera of water birds (mostly storks), colonies of bats and various rare animal and bird species. Especially tourists will be flabbergasted by small houses on stilts with rudimentary bamboo ceilings that are firmly tightened to cajuput trees, making an unusual existence in the quiet ambience of the forest. They are actually restoration work of a provincial-level revolutionary base of the An Giang people and soldiers in the glorious struggle against the US imperialists.
Standing on a 10m high watch tower in the midst of the forest, tourists can enjoy a panorama of the vast greenery spotted with the white of storks below. Turtles, snakes, as well as other reptiles and freshwater fishes are also abundant in the canals.
Tapa Hill – located in Tri Ton District;
Afternoon drive to Kien Luong for shooting the fishermen fishing, especially the famous Phu Tu Islets;
Drive back to Ha Tien for overnight;
Day 4: Ha Tien – ferry to Phu Quoc
Breakfast, take the ferry to Phu Quoc Island. Visit: Da Tranh waterfall; Sao beach; Coi Nguon Museum;
Da Tranh Waterfall – is made up of a string of peaceful rock pools and waterfalls and the short track to the larger waterfall at the top of the trails is well worth the effort.
Sao beach – white sand beach and clear blue calm water and is spectacular place to spend a lazy day or to take fishing or snorkeling tour;
Coi Nguon Museum – “The scale of works, spatial planning, the value of the collection, the gallery content and complex works of cultural facilities that source museum in Phu Quoc is the largest private museum and among the richest private museum is across the country”
Day 5: Phu Quoc sightseeing
Sunrise at Ham Ninh; Visit Da Ban waterfall; Cau Temple;
Ha Ninh – The town is set against the backdrop of Ham Ninh mountain, the largest on Phu Quoc, stretching 30 kms along the coast. It’s highest peak is Mt Chua (603 m).
Cau Temple: is considered the symbol of Phu Quoc where sand, sea, sun, and stone blend in perfect harmony. It is not only an odd-shaped scenic beauty but also a quaint sacred holy place. It is a combination of Buddhist temple and lighthouse that was built in 1937 as a dedication to Thien Hau (the Goddess of the sea) who provides protection for the fisherman and vessels that head out to the open waters.
Day 6: Phu Quoc – Ferry to Rach Gia – Kien Giang – Bac Lieu
Take the speed boat to reach Rach Gia; pick up and drive to Bac Lieu; (Rach Gia to Bac Lieu 106 KM (kilometers))
Or speed boat to Ha Tien again; then transfer to Kien Luong again for more shooting before transfer to Bac Lieu for overnight;
Afternoon:
If time permit we will shooting in Bac Lieu used to play importance role in exploitation and developing of French colonialists so that the province has existed several western-style villas and palaces and popular Bac Lieu Mandarins. And we can visit the Bac Lieu Bird Reserve, unforgettable taste longan gardens, Viet Hung old Tower, Xiem Can Pagoda
Day 7: Bac Lieu – Tra Vinh – Ba Dong
Depart from Bac Lieu early morning to Soc Trang; time to shoot the floating market here;
Continue to Tra Vinh; visit:
+ Hang Pagoda – 5km southward from Tra Vinh center – the most beautiful pagoda in Tra Vinh;
+ Ang pagoda – 7km from the center; the oldest Khmer pagoda in Tra Vinh;
+ Ba Dong beach – 60 km southwest form the center; one of the most beautiful beaches with the wild beauty; keep shooting till late afternoon;
Overnight in Ba Dong;
Day 8: Sunrise; Tra Vinh – Bao Loc
Enjoy the sunrise shooting in Ba Dong beach before depart to Bao Loc; check in the hotel for relax;
Overnight in Bao Loc;
Day 9: Bao Loc – Da Lat
Early morning, we will visit the tea plantation before depart to Dalat city. Visit:
+ Crazy House;
+ Church;
+ Lang Biang Mountain;
Overnight in Dalat;
Day 10: Dalat – Saigon
Transfer to Dai Ninh Lake for your sunrise shooting until the time to transfer back to Saigon.
Overnight in Saigon;
Day 11: Saigon – Departure
Shooting around Saigon cities, after lunch, transfer to the airport;
